Enrico Taglialatela

Enrico was approached by a group of men who made fun of Enrico and requested free sexual services. After Enrico refused, they were beaten, doused with petrol, and set on fire.

Enrico Taglialatela was a transsexual hairdresser who had resorted to sex work. On August 19th, 2003, Enrico was approached by four individuals on two scooters. They reportedly made fun of Enrico and then requested free sexual services. After Enrico refused to provide sexual services to the group, they were beaten, doused with petrol, and set on fire.

Enrico was found with burns over 70% of their body. They died eleven days later in the hospital. Two men were arrested for the murder but were later acquitted of the charges. No other suspects were ever charged.
