Darryl was not trans himself, but was had come to the aid of three trans people who were being harassed by Christian Soto-Ruiz, 19, in the early morning of 16th July on W. 10th St.

Soto-Ruiz stabbed him to death with a kitchen knife, and slashed one of the trans people.
