Morgan died by suicide. Her chosen family are trying to ensure she is remembered for who she actually was as her birth family are not affirming.
I wanted to report the loss of my dear friend Morgan Sage Seltzer to suicide, which occurred on April 7th of this year. The current obituary that comes up on Google uses her deadname and pronouns, but her chosen family wrote the following blurb if you take obituaries.
Morgan “Silver” Seltzer (07/14/2000-04/06/2026).
Morgan was always 100% unapologetically herself, repeating “Don’t kill what makes you cringe; kill the part of you that cringes.” She loved weaving chain mail, cooking, and destroying her friends in Mario Party/Kart. Morgan was an active member of the New England Furry community, where she loved collecting art of her fursona, Silver the Kobold.
They were sharp as a tack, and there was never a topic that Morgan couldn’t have a wonderfully deep conversation about. They had a gift for making people feel more comfortable as themselves, and for listening— even and especially to people different from her. A mischievous little imp. A deeply contemplative thinker. A loyal friend. She is loved and missed.
We're looking for ways to honor the person she actually was.
