Oscar Mosqueda

Oscar was shot to death outside Pasta Amore, in Daytona Beach, Florida. At the time they were dressed in a mini-skirt and high heels.

Cesar Israel Villazano, confessed to police that he shot Oscar. Villazano claimed he killed Oscar after Oscar made an embarrassing sexual advance, but the witness Wesley Rosser told police Oscar died defending a friend.

One bullet hit Oscar in the head; Oscar died later that Sunday at Halifax Medical Center.

Daytona Beach police arrested two men in connection with a killing Sunday, just hours after they responded to what initially appeared to be a hit and-run accident.

Police were called to the 1200 block of North Nova Road about 3:30 a.m. and found Oscar Mosqueda, 34, on the ground. Mosqueda had suffered a gunshot wound to the head and was taken to Halifax Hospital, where he later died.

About noon, a Volusia County deputy sheriff stopped a blue Honda Accord matching the description of the vehicle at the scene of the earlier call. Interviews revealed that Mosqueda and Israel Villazano, a passenger in the car, had argued before the shooting. Police searched the car and found a gun they think was used in the shooting.

Villazano, 18, of DeLand, was arrested on a charge of second-degree murder. The car's driver, 21-year-old Luis Acosta of DeLand, was arrested on a charge of possession of cocaine. Both were booked into Volusia County Branch Jail on Sunday.
