The victim’s body was found by a group of children in an abandoned house, naked and with her mouth gagged with her own underwear. Her body was bruised and she had been stabbed.

An activist of Associação de Travesti da Paraíba (ASTRAPA) declared that there were clear signs that the crime was motivated by homophobia.
