Kênia was shot on the street by one of three people who got out of a vehicle. She died at the scene.
On Saturday night around 8 pm, the 21-year-old [trans woman] [deadname] Silva do Nascimento was shot dead in the center of the city.
The crime took place at the intersection of avenidas Deodoro da Fonsêca and General Osório near the building of the State Health Department.
Police do not have any leads on the case yet, but investigations are ongoing. Meanwhile, [deadname]'s body was taken to the Technical and Scientific Institute of Police for inspection. Another suspected crime motivated by homophobia.
