Olga was murdered. No other details are known.

Note that her exact date of death is not known so the date of this report is based upon that of the earliest known report.

At the beginning of 2012, a transsexual woman, Olga Tyan, was killed in Moscow. In 2008, she helped a LGBT conference participant, told her that she wanted to work as a fashion designer, and showed her sketches of clothes.

Unfortunately, close friends of the deceased have reason to believe that the murder will remain unsolved, and the perpetrators will not be punished, as is often the case with crimes against transgender people. The crime has not been solved to this day.

Olga's murder was not recorded on the official TDoR 2012 list released by Transgender Europe (TGEU) in November 2012.
