Pâmela was shot and killed at the entrance of a nightclub as she was talking to two men. Her two companions were injured, but both survived.
After her murder STVBrasil issued the following statement:
We who make STVBrasil - Sociedade Terra Viva express our grief at the murder of the friend and [trans woman] Pâmela Scheyfon, barbarously murdered, in the early hours of Monday, 30, leaving a nightclub in the city of São José de Mipibu - RN.
Pamela, who had been elected Queen of Diversity in the latest edition of the Gay Parade of the Wild, was young, a good person with life, and dear to everyone in the community.
The crime, still unexplained, occurred when Pamela was talking to two men at the door of a nightclub, and the three of them were surprised by another man who appeared and began firing gunfire, mortally hitting Pamela and injuring the other two men. After the crime the killer escaped on foot and the police have no information about his identity.
STVBrasil - Sociedade Terra Viva, through its legal advice, will be providing support to the family members of Pâmela and will follow the case.
