A [trans woman] was killed with two shots on Tuesday night (12) in Ribeirão Preto (SP). The victim was rescued and taken to a health clinic in the Quintino Facci II neighborhood, but could not resist the injuries she sustained.
This is the second case of homicide involving [trans women] which has been registered in the city in the past five days. According to delegate Ricardo Turra, however, there is no relationship between the deaths. "This Tuesday's victim reportedly stole a customer's cell phone and may have been killed by this suspect, who is being sought," he said.
Turra said the [trans woman] was taken injured in the emergency room by a couple, who did not wait for the police to arrive at the scene. The man and woman have not yet been identified. The police requested a fingerprint exam to confirm that a vaccination card found next to the body belonged to the shooting victim.
