The victim's burnt body was found with hands and feet tied and wounds to her face. Her body had been dragged along a street while wrapped in a blanket. She was probably killed elseware.
A [trans woman] had her body burned on the bank of a stream at the end of Rua Tamoios in Vila Jardini. The victim may have been tortured before being killed. She had a neck injury and had her hands and feet were tied.
The crime, which occurred during the early hours of yesterday, scared residents of the neighborhood. There was the noise of a motorcycle and a car. The victim's body, however, was only found in the morning. When police arrived early in the morning, there was still smoke.
According to Deputy Acácio Aparecido Leite, from the General Investigations Police Station (DIG), the [victim] was killed elsewhere and possibly taken to the edge of the stream by more than one person. The point where the body was deep with some houses of Guarani Street. One resident told the report that she believed the body was taken to the stream bank between 3 am and 4 am.
The stranger was almost completely burned, aside from parts of her hands and back. Her hands and feet had been tied with some kind of rope and her body wrapped in a duvet. There was still wire around the duvet.
