Domonique Newborn

Domonique's body was discovered by officers responding to a report of a disturbance in the 7900 block of Bennet Avenue on on Tuesday 20th August.

She was lying in the living room of her apartment near a window, and investigators said they believed she may have been trying to escape through the window. According to coroner’s officials she had sustained trauma. An autopsy was expected to be performed to determine the cause of death.

Neighbours told the police they witnessed a man leaving the home in the victim’s black Mercedes, which was later found at a San Bernardino Park. Her was also seen taking clothes and a computer from the home.

In August 2014 her former partner Dantjier Domenick Powell, 18, was charged with her murder.
