The victim's body was found on a beach alonside the pipe which was presumably used to beat her.

in the early hours of Monday, April 7, 2014 winesses found the body of a [trans woman] with bruises on her body on Praia do Sobral in front of BOPE and the Fire Department of Maceió.

She is unidentified and appears to be between 25 and 27 years old. She was wearing denim shorts and a red tank top with a bra.

The IC and IML attended the scene and did not find significant perforations that would lead to believe that there were shots or stab wounds. The bruises are apparently from blows. A pipe was found with the [trans woman's body].
