Capitú's body was found on the morning of Monday 16th February in a vacant lot on avenida Alameda Cosme Ferreira in the Coroado 3 neighborhood in the East Zone of Manaus.
She had been missing since Friday 13th February.

According to the expert Wilton, there is suspicion of stigma and the victim may have been thrown off the ravine. "There were found in the pocket of the victim's shorts several condoms and a handbag containing a blouse. We can not say anything yet, let's investigate, "said the expert.
