Malu's body was found in brushwood. She had been shot 9 times.
Did we kill Malu?
Yesterday February 11, was found dead in a thicket of coconut palms in Maracanaú, Malu, a [trans] woman, was killed with 9 shots. Malu was a [sex worker] and nothing is known about the reason for the crime.
Malu is another victim of ours, we are guilty yes!
We kill little by little when we don't respect her and her gender identity, when we reinforce the fundamentalist speeches, when we turn our back on her on the street, when we ignore her at the bus stop, at the health center and at school, when we believe we have overcome all forms of prejudice, and we repeat that in Maracanaú there is no such thing, and worse when we do not charge the public power affirmative actions to combat transphobia and the extermination of transvestites and transsexuals in Maracanaú, especially in a city that has a LGBT Coordination.
The society also pulled the trigger and killed Malu.
How many more of our girls will have to die so that we have at least a basic right to citizenship? What has the public power of this city done to combat the extermination of our population of transvestites and transsexuals?
What actions? Projects? and what did you do to charge these defense agencies? or will you stay there for convenience because it wasn't with you?
