The victim was one of two whose bodies were found partially burned. Both had their hands tied and showed signs of torture.
Two [trans women] were found dead on Friday morning on the Martim Félix Berta Road in northern Porto Alegre. According to the Military Brigade, the bodies were partially burned.
On the back of one of them, police identified a spray-graffiti of the expression "X-9" - criminal slang for whistleblower, "stubby." One of the victims had a wire attached to her neck, which may indicate that the cause of death was asphyxiation. Both had their hands tied.
The 5th DHPP investigators suspect that the two women were not killed there but had their bodies abandoned there. An attempt was made to burn both bodies, but that did not work.
