Mafe was beaten with blunt objects and tortured until she was almost dying, before eventually being shot twice. Her body was found surrounded by bloodied rocks and pieces of wood.
Dead transsexual found in rural area of El Espinal
The case occurred a few minutes ago in Sucre village, part of the ‘Salto del Burro’ located in a rural area of the city of Tambora, where the lifeless body of this person belonging to the LGBTI community was found. According to initial indications it was a homicide. However, at this time investigations continue to determine the causes of death of this person who was identified as [deadname] Méndez and called herself Mafe Rojas.
