Bruna was shot. At the time of the crime, she was supposedly with her boyfriend in a truck. According to information from the Military Police, another truck with two occupants fired at the couple several times.
A [trans woman] was shot dead in Taguatinga Sul, in the Federal District, on Friday afternoon (8). She was accompanied by a man who was shot three times and transported by helicopter to the Base Hospital, in serious condition.
According to the Military Police, at around 12:20 pm the [trans woman] and the man were in a car parked near a bus terminal. Two suspects arrived in another car and started shooting at them.
Saleswoman Janete Coelho, who lives near the crime scene, said she heard the shots and the boy who survived calling for help.
"> It was absurd, it was really absurd, something like that. We only heard the shots. She just asked that he didn't want to die, that he wanted to be helped."
According to Janete, the residents tried to help the young man and asked the police for help. "We just asked for help and they helped her, it was quick, the firefighter arrived, helped him and left," said the saleswoman.
In July 2024 three men were sentenced to more than 18 years in prison for Bruna's murder.
