Lu was strangled. Her body was found at home with cut marks to her mouth, her feet tied and a net entwined around her neck. The bathroom had a broken mirror and there was a bloodstains next to the bed.

She was a TV presenter, and after her death tributes were received from thousands of fans, lamenting the violent death, describing the episode as "cowardice" and "cruelty" and demanding "justice."

The Association of Press Professionals of Altamira, Transamazon and Xingu (ASPIATX) also spoke out, expressing solidarity with the families and receiving justice.

"The presenter was a relaxed and charismatic communicator. Communication professionals hope that the authorities will be able to elucidate the case as soon as possible, a barbarism against a media professional and a crime that once again shakes the population of this city, " the statement said.
