Renata's body was found near Antigua Mexico-Queretaro (Federal Highway 17) on the morning of Saturday 9th March. She had a head wound.
After the funeral of Renata Spencer, a 20-year-old trans woman whose body was found on Saturday morning in the town of El Cerrito, family and friends displayed placards with the caption "We are all Renata" and demanded investigation of her homicide.
According to police reports, on Saturday morning, municipal agents located the body of the young woman lying in the Los Reyes camp, located on the side of the old Mexico-Queretaro federal highway.
At the time of the discovery, the deceased had her trousers at knee height; she wore a gray shirt, vest, and black boots. The body had a wound on the head.
"It's not fair that they killed her in this way, it's a murder because of her gender." The authorities must clarify what happened and stop the murderers," said a friend of the victim.
In December 2021 a suspect, identified only as Baltazar 'N', was sentenced to 34 years in prison for Renata's murder.
A subject was sentenced to 34 years in prison for the femicide of a transgender woman in the State of Hidalgo.
The events that Baltazar “N” is accused of occurred in March 2019, after the lifeless body of a transgender female was located in Tepeji del Río, as reported by the Hidalgo Attorney General's Office (PGJH).
After the discovery, the Office of the Prosecutor for Gender Crimes and Human Trafficking intervened to carry out investigations under the feminicide protocol.
