The victim's body was found with stab wounds and her throat slashed, wrapped in a blanket and with her legs tied on a road in colonia Loma de La Palma. Her identity is unknown.

The message “Esto va para que no anden chapulineando” was written on a piece of cardboard left with her body.

CDMX.- During the early hours of Friday the body of a [trans woman] was dumped. After being slaughtered her body was wrapped in a blanket next to a message in the Mayor's Office of Gustavo A. Madero.

The body belonged to a [woman] of approximately 25 years of age, who had a neck injury and wore a red blouse. The body was wrapped in a cover and the legs were tied with tape.

The police were alerted and managed to detain a person.

According to the Secretary of Security, Jesús Orta, the killing could be a reprisal and an investigation is underway.
