Defne was found dead in her bathroom on 16th June. She had been stabbed in the body and neck.
Her killer was arrested the following day.
Defne, a transgender woman living in Afyon, was found dead at her home by friends on 16 June. She had been stabbed in the body and throat by a man who came to her home at around 5 pm in the afternoon.
Bihter Karal, a close friend of the activist who informed the public of her death via social media, reported that a foreign man who entered the building at 17.05 was seen on security cameras stealing the phone and computers of the transgender woman.
According to the information provided by the trans activist on social media accounts, the murder suspect was arrested and arrested after confessing to his wife at 2:00 pm.
