Ashley's body was found on the street near a church on the morning of Wednesday 21th August. She had been stabbed.
Huajuapan de León, Oax.- The lifeless body of a person from the LGBTTTIQ community who responded to the name of [deadname] known as “La Muda” or Ashley and killed by stabbing was found in a private area on calle Nuyoo in the colonia El Calvario, next to the church in the area where the Indio de Nuyoo monument is also located.
The events were at approximately 9:30 am on Wednesday when emergency services were alerted to the discovery of a body next to a truck that was parked in the aforementioned area.
Ashley would have turned 39 on 23rd August. In the local community she was nicknamed "La Muda" as she was reportedly unable to speak. She was originally from the municipality of Villa de Tezoatlán de Segura and Luna, but lived in the Santa Rosa neighborhood of Huajuapan de León.
