Júnia's body was found on a back road in the Morumbi neighborhood at around 1:20am on Sunday 29th September. She had been stabbed 13 times.

The body of a [trans woman] identified as Júnia Franco, [34], was found at dawn on Sunday (29) [on Rua Canoas] in Bairro Morumbi, Uberlandia with signs of violence. The victim had 13 body punctures caused by a sharp object.

According to the occurrence recorded by the Military Police (PM), the victim was found by witnesses around 1:20 am on a dirt road near Rua Rodeio. The body was in a pool of blood and beside a bicycle.

The Civil Police's technical expertise was activated and found that the victim had perforations in the chest, armpits and back. The body was sent by the funeral home to the Legal Medical Institute (IML) and was undergoing an autopsy on the morning of Monday (30).
