Rony was found dead inside her home at around 11am on Sunday 6th October. She had been stabbed multiple times, and her handbag and cellphone stolen.
A [trans woman] was murdered inside the house where she lived, in Jardim América, Goiânia, at dawn on Sunday (6). The victim's social name was Rony and she was 47 years old. The name on the civil registry is Ronaldo Antônio Gonçalves. The body was found by her mother, around 11 am on Sunday morning, with stab wounds, according to the Civil Police (PC) .
Military, Civil and Technical-Scientific Police are on site. As well as teams from the Legal Medical Institute (IML) . According to information passed to Mais Goiás by a local source, a towel would have been placed on her face and used to stifle the screams.
Rony lived in the back of her mother's house, and her mother disovered her body after being surprised at her daughter's delay in getting up in the morning. A purse and the victim's cell phone were taken.
On 14th October police arrested Jales Pires Borges Filho, 39, for her murder.
