Paula's body was found in a bag with hands and feet tied next to Jequié's Ring Road on Tuesday 5th November after she had been being missing for several days.
Because of the state of decomposition of her body fingerprint analysis was required to identify her.
The body found yesterday in a thicket on the banks of Jequié's Ring Road may be that of the [trans woman] [Paula] Santos Junior, who had been missing for several days. The body was found by the police in an advanced state of decomposition last Tuesday (05).
This Wednesday (06), relatives of the victim went to the Jequié IML to recognise the body. However, due to the state of decomposition, a fingerprint test will be needed to confirm the identity of the victim.
Paula, as the [trans woman] was known, [was a sex worker] and because of family conflicts, did not live with her family.
Police said the body was found in a bag, with hands and feet tied with electrical wires. It had probably the body been dumped there [after she had been killed elsewhere].
