The victim was found dead within a homeless shelter on the morning of Monday 4th November. The cause of her death was not reported.
A 43-year-old transsexual was found dead in a City Hall-accredited care unit maintained by the Adventist Development and Relief Agency (ADRA). The facility, located at Rua Oswaldo Cruz, Juiz de Fora Center, has capacity to receive 50 people daily and houses women, transsexuals and families in transit.
According to the PM, the death was noticed around 6am this Monday (4), when caregivers went to wake the residents and found the victim lying on the floor. Samu was called and confirmed the death. The PM was also called in to record the fact, as well as the technical expertise of the Civil Police. According to the authorities, there were no apparent signs of violence in the body, which was referred to the Forensic Medical Institute (IML). The cause of death will be ascertained.
