Samara (some reports name her Samira) was one of two homeless people whose bodies were found with gunshot wounds under an overpass. Her pet dog refused to let anyone near her body.
The bodies of a man and a [trans woman] were found this Tuesday morning under the Mannesmann viaduct in the Santa Margarida neighborhood, in the Barreiro region of Belo Horizonte.
According to initial reports, the victims were homeless. The man, identified only as Leonardo, and the [trans woman], known as Samara, were found with gunshot wounds. Leonardo was murdered with a shot to the forehead and has a deep wound to the head.
One detail that drew attention is that the [trans woman] had a pet dog who refused to leave her body, and threatened anyone who tried to get close.
