Samylla was shot in the street by two men late on 31st October. She died two days later.
Two suspects were arrested, then released after giving evidence.
She died last Monday (2), the [trans woman] shot at dawn on Sunday (1st), on Avenida Beira-mar, located in the Praia de Iracema neighborhood, in Fortaleza.
The victim, identified as Samylla Marry Windson, was seen at a health facility, but could not survive her injuries. Two criminal suspects, were captured, then released after giving evidence.
According to the Secretariat of Public Security and Social Defense, a team from the Tourism Policing Battalion went on to search and captured the two suspects. The pair was taken to the 13th Police District, in the Cidade dos Funcionários neighborhood, where they were released after an investigation was launched.
Samylla has been veiled, is buried and now she rests in deep peace in the eternity of divine light.
