The victim was found in a hotel room which she had entered with an unidentified man.
A [woman] dressed in women's clothes was found dead early Sunday in a hotel room in Chilpancingo.
Initial reports indicate that [the victim] was [trans], and that her death was as a result of asphyxia by strangulation.
The incident was reported around 04:00 hours inside the Chula Vista hotel, located on calle Cinco de Mayo, between calles Canuto Neri and Belisario DomÃnguez, in front of the Telmex offices. Elements of the State Police came as the first responders and cordoned off the perimeter, waiting for the staff of the State Attorney General's Office to carry out the investigation.
Police sources at the scene of the events indicated that, according to the version in charge of the hostel, the deceased arrived today accompanied by man who was probably responsible for the homicide.
During the investigation, the authorities noticed that the room was in a state of disarray, indicating that there was a struggle.
