Fernanda was initially reported to have taken her own life, but it was subsequently revealed that she had been murdered.

This Thursday, a person from the LGBTI community in the municipality of El Rosario in the department of La Paz decided to end her life.

The [woman] known as “Fernanda” took her own life inside a popular bar located in the center of the aforementioned municipality. According to the report, the owner of the establishment had allowed "Fernanda" to sleep inside the premises. Her body was located on Thursday morning.

Preliminary reports suggest that "Fernanda" had taken her own life after breaking up with her partner.

Casa Ruby El Salvador condemns the murder of a minor trans woman in the La Paz department, and we demand that the relevant institutions investigate properly to give justice to our compañera and her family.
