Hagatha Luana

Hagatha was shot while working. After taking her body back to the city of Codó, her family erased her identity, burying her "as a man" in a shirt and tie.

Today the body of the trans woman Hagatha Luana arrived in her homeland, the city of Codó. Hagatha's own mother went to fetch the body in Brasilia and with the help of many Codoenses she raised funds to allow the funeral home to release the body and bring it home. Josy just sent a message to Ramyria Santiago's blog which is on the road and should arrive in town at around 17:00, she told Ramyria that she was already passing through Floriano.

The funeral will be tomorrow, October 31, at Travessa Rotary Club 1183, São Benedito neighborhood.

The young woman was killed last Saturday, 23/10, with 3 shots, on a busy avenue in Brasília. Hagatha Luana, the social name she used, was born [deadname] Conceição Guimarães and was 20 years old. She worked at nights in the Capital and many colleagues called him Maranhão.
