Aldana died in hospital 10 days after suffering a severe head injury during a family argument.
A 35-year-old trans woman died after being hospitalized for ten days in a Santa Fe hospital, where she was admitted on December 24 after receiving a blow to the head during a family argument, a spokesmen for the provincial police reported this Tuesday.
The victim was identified as Aldana Lorenz, who died on Monday afternoon as a result of a head trauma with a cutting wound while she was being treated in the intensive care unit of José María Cullen hospital in the city of Santa Fe.
Lorenz was attacked on the afternoon of December 24 in a home at 6700 Chubut in the Yapeyú neighborhood. She was initially taken to the Iturraspe hospital, from where she was referred to Cullen due to the severity of the injury.
However, the attack that Aldana suffered was only notified to the corresponding authorities of the Public Prosecutor's Office (MPA) this Monday, when the victim died after spending ten days in intensive care. After confirming the death of the woman, the hospital authorities reported the situation to the Criminal Investigation Agency (AIC) of the provincial Police, while the case was handled by the prosecutor of the Santa Fe Homicide Unit, María Celeste Minniti.
