Civil Police delegates detailed this Monday morning (31), the circumstanes of the murder of a transgender woman identified as Jasmyne Silva, who was killed on the night of the 8th of this month. Her body was found the next day in undergrowth near Avenida Menino Marcelo (Via Expressa), in the Tabuleiro do Martins neighborhood. According to the delegate, the author of the crime "justified" his actions by saying that he killed Jasmyne by mistake, thinking that she was another transgender woman with whom he had previously hired for sex and stolen from him.
His account has been discounted by police, who believe that he intended to kill the victim - so much so that he left the house carrying the knife he used in the murder. The victim was hit in the neck, back and arms - which indicates that she got into a physical fight with the criminal.
The DHPP team also found that before murdering Jasmyne, the accused tried to go out with another transgender woman who frequents that region, only not consummating the program because they could not agree on a price.
