Júlia dos Santos Silva

Júlia was shot in the street on the night of Friday 11th February.

A [trans woman] was shot dead in Palmares, in the Mata Sul region of Pernambuco, on Friday night (11).

According to the Civil Police, the victim, known as Julia, was on Rua Alvez da Silva, in the Santa Rosa neighborhood, when a suspect approached and then shot her. She could not survive her injuries and died at the scene.

At the time of publication the motive and authorship [f the crime] are unknown. The Civil Police are investigating the case.
