Fell from a vehicle
Pamela died from head injuries after falling from the back of an all-terrain vehicle which was being pursued by police. The driver was arrested and a manslaughter investigation opened.
MEXICO CITY.- A transgender woman died when she fell from an ATV in which she was traveling as co-pilot. Seeing what had happened, the driver tried to flee, but was stopped by the police.
At the wheel of a four-wheeler, José Luis over-accelerated through the streets of the Venustiano Carranza neighborhood. With him were two women who occupied the back of the vehicle. The driver lost control of the steering wheel while passing through a stop located at the corner of Calzada del Peñón and Calle Engravings.
Because he didn't brake, the bike jumped and Pamela's body was thrown onto the pavement. Afterwards, the others fled, leaving the co-pilot [Pamela] and a motorcycle helmet.
Residents of the neighborhood notified the paramedics who, upon arrival, reported that a blow to the head caused her death. Through the surveillance cameras, the police managed to find the driver of the ATV, who was fleeing towards the Emilio Carranza neighborhood.
The man was transferred to the ministerial agency, while the body was taken to the Venustiano Carranza amphitheater.
