C. was shot in the street. Her murder was captured by security cameras.
A 25-year-old [trans woman] was shot dead on Friday night (22) on a street in Vila Aurora, in Goiânia . A security camera shows when a man approaches and starts firing several shots. The victim tried to run, but died in the street.
Residents of the region said they had not seen the victim in the area before. They say they heard about ten shots.
Videos show the [trans woman] standing on a street corner holding a suitcase full of stolen goods and a small bag of makeup. She then starts walking down the street and is surprised by an armed man who runs in front of her.
The victim drops the suitcase, turns around and starts running. The criminal then starts shooting several times in the back. The [trans woman] died at the scene.
Her body was taken to the Legal Medical Institute of Goiânia , where it remains until 9 am this Saturday (23). The case will be investigated by the State Homicide Police Station. There is still no information on the suspect or the cause of the murder.
Three suspects were arrested in May 2022.
