The body of the victim was found by her partner in a home in the Villa Esmeralda subdivision on Monday 15th August. She had been dead for around 48 hours.
Although she was identified by her partner her identity has not been released.
Ministerial authorities are investigating the crimes of two alleged [trans women]: one) [discovered on Sunday in the Del Bosque neighborhood](https://tdor.translivesmatter.info/reports/2022/08/14/name-unknown_reynosa-tamaulipas-mexico_bc4d5e48, and the other on Monday, in the Villa Esmeralda subdivision.
The authorities do not rule out the possibility that the murders of the two alleged [trans women] are related, but the crimes will be investigated to try to clarify them.
In both cases, the Tamaulipas Attorney General's Office (FGJT) integrated the corresponding investigation folders against those who are responsible for the homicides of these two [women] who were wearing women's clothing when they were located.
The authorities reported that last Sunday they found the body of a [female] between 25 and 40 years old, who was wearing red pants and a wig, floating in canal Rodhe, at the height of calle Bugambilias in the colonia Del Bosque neighborhood. They said that the [woman] had been dead for about two days, that her hands and feet were tied and she had suffered blows to the head.
In the other case discovered last Monday, the authorities found the body of a young [woman] murdered inside a home located on calles Platino Dos and Concha Nácar in the Villa Esmeralda subdivision.
The experts examined the body, which was also dressed as a woman, and realized that it had signs of violence and a screwdriver buried in the neck. Authorities found many used and new condoms in the home; in addition to other evidence that is being examined by criminal experts.
According to testimonies from residents of the area, the victim lived with other [trans people] in the area and was constantly visited by different men. At the publication time of this report the authorities had only managed to identify one of the victims after she was recognized by her ex-partner - the one who found her murdered at home.
