The victim was found dead in the road in an apparent homicide. Her identity is not known.
The Civil Police of Santo André is investigating a case where a person was found dead, at 07:00 this Wednesday (04-1), on Estrada do Montanhão, in the Parque do Pedroso neighborhood, in Santo André.
According to the BO (Boletim de Occurrence), this is a trans woman, 18 years old. A trans woman is someone who was assigned as a man at birth but perceives herself as a woman.
According to the SSP (Secretary of Public Security of the State of São Paulo), military police were on patrol in the region when they were called to respond to the incident. According to information from witnesses, a body had been seen on Estrada do Montanhão.
The PMs initiated diligence and, at the scene, found the victim with signs of hanging wrapped in plastic and pink cloth. Examinations were requested from the IC (Institute of Criminalistics) and IML (Institute of Legal Medicine) and the case was registered as a homicide at the CPJ (Central de Policia Judiciary) in the city. No one has been arrested so far.
