The victim died by suicide. Her name was not reported.

The Ben Amics association has lamented the suicide of a 15-year-old transgender girl on Thursday June 22 in Lloseta and has urged the relevant administrations to clarify the causes of the suicide.

In a statement published on Twitter this Monday, the entity has ensured that "the profiles on the victim's social networks show that she was an openly LGTBI+ young woman" and that "she identified with the female gender, which does not correspond to the assigned sex at birth.

Thus, Ben Amics has urged the relevant administrations to clarify the causes that led the young woman, who was of school age, to take her own life.

The association recalled that the LGTBI Comprehensive Care Service of the Consell de Mallorca offers social, psychological and legal support to LGTBI+ people, especially victims of LGTBI-phobia. In addition, 024 is a hotline for suicidal behavior of the Ministry of Health.
