The victim's dismembered remains were found near the central market in Acapulco. Her identity is unknown.
In another violent incident that has shaken the city of Acapulco this morning, the murder and dismemberment of a transgender woman is reported. During the early hours of this Monday, scattered human remains were found in several streets near the central market .
At the scene, a head was discovered inside a wooden box found in front of a flower shop in the central market. In addition, a black bag with human remains was found in a place called the "ice factory" . It is unknown if these remains belong to the same victim.
Various police forces were mobilized to secure the scene and begin the corresponding investigations. According to preliminary reports, the victim was a transgender person who had previously worked for the Acapulco city council.
