The LGBT+ community woke up this Saturday, May 25, with the news of the murder of a trans woman who worked inside a beauty salon in the area of the Cuauhtémoc mayor's office, and specifically the Centro neighborhood. Through an information card it was announced that the establishment was located at the intersection of calles República de Perú and Incas.
According to reports from the SSC, elements of the corporation were alerted by the operators of the Command and Control Center (C2) of the Historic Center. Once they arrived at the scene, they located a person on the floor with blood stains and asked for support from the emergency services.
Civil Protection personnel diagnosed the 42-year-old person without vital signs due to a firearm in the rib cage area. According to reports from the authority recovered by the local press, a man on a motorcycle shot the trans woman and subsequently fled towards calle Incas.
The Attorney General's Office of Mexico City (FGJ) was notified of the murder so that they could launch the first investigations and open an investigation file. Meanwhile, elements of the SSC are analyzing the security cameras in the area to search for the alleged attacker.
