Valéria's body was found in her home. Three suspects were subsequently arrested.
Security camera footage recorded the last moments of hairdresser Valéria Ferrugini, 57, alive, shortly after 6 pm on Tuesday (23), at her doorstep, in the center of Nova Venécia, in the northwest of Espírito Santo. The information is from Wilson Rodrigues, from Rede Notícia.
“Tetéia”, as she was popularly called, talks to two women. About an hour later, a suspect appears on the same sidewalk and enters the residence, leaving a minute later.
Valéria was found murdered on Wednesday morning (24), in the basement of her home. According to the Military Police, the team found the body of a trans woman in a room located in a basement, at the back of the house. The victim was kneeling on the floor, next to the bed, with part of her torso under the bed. In addition, she also showed signs of violence and was naked from the waist down.
The victim's brother was the first to find the body and reported that he arrived at the house, around 7:30 am, called for his sister, but received no answer. He thought it was strange and since he had a spare key to the property, he found it in the house and noticed that several objects were scattered on the floor of the entrance hall. When he went down to the basement, he found his sister's body. The Forensics team was called.
The police report details that the experts found that the victim had received several blows from a blunt object to the head, in addition to being tied up by the arms.
The Civil Police reported that the case remains under investigation by the Specialized Homicide and Personal Protection Unit (DHPP) of Nova Venécia, that so far, no suspects have been detained and that details of the investigation will not be released at this time.
The victim's body was sent by the Scientific Police (PCIES) to the Legal Medical Service (SML) of Colatina, to be autopsied and later released to the family.
