The decomposing body of Estrella (some sources name her as Estrellita) was found in her home in a pool of blood. An autopsy determined that the cause of death was strangulation.
Ciudad Juárez.– The body of a transgender woman of Venezuelan origin was found inside her home in the Libertad neighborhood and in an advanced state of decomposition.
The discovery was made by neighbors on Tuesday night. They had not heard from her for several days.
The woman, identified as Estrella, was inside the house located on calle Marfil, near the intersection with Calcopyrita.
Elements of the Municipal Public Security Secretariat (SSPM) arrived at the site and secured the area.
It has not been determined whether the death was natural or a result of violence.
At the time this page was written her body remains unclaimed.
Ciudad Juárez.- The body of “Estrellita,” a transgender woman who was found dead on Tuesday, July 30, still remains in the Forensic Medical Service (Semefo) after not being officially recognized by her loved ones.
Consulted by El Diario, activists from the LGBT+ community reported that the victim was a foreigner and had no relatives in the city. They only knew her as “Estrellita” and because of her cheerful character and personality, several people had become friends with her and supported her during her stay in this city.
The District Attorney's Office in the Northern Zone announced that the cause of death of the woman was asphyxiation by strangulation. However, the body was lying in a huge pool of blood and traces of a fight were observed inside the house.
