Gaby's body was found buried in the backyard of the home she shared with her partner. He was arrested two days later.
This Thursday (15), the Civil Police confirmed to g1 Caruaru and region that the victim murdered and buried in Santa Maria do Cambucá , in the Agreste region of Pernambuco, was a trans woman. According to delegate Júlio Porto, [deadname] Lima had the social name of “Gaby”.
The victim was found buried in the backyard of the residence where she lived on Monday (12). According to the police chief, the crime was motivated by passion. The perpetrator, Tiago Souza, had argued with Gaby and beaten her with a stick.
The victim did not survive her injuries and died. The suspect then buried her body in the backyard, took Gaby's documents and bank cards and fled to São Paulo.
