The victim's body was found in aan irrigation canal in susicious circumstances. Her identity is not known.
A transgender woman was found dead in an irrigation canal of a banana plantation. Farmers found the body in The Remembrance sector of the El Guabo canton, El Oro province. The body was found lying on banana leaves, and the discovery was recorded at 5:00 p.m. on Monday, January 27.
According to Erick Vera,a police officers from the Barbones circuit, the causes of the death of the woman are still unknown. However, he said the body had cuts on the face. The officer also said that the body had been there for several days, due to the condition it was in.
Elements of the El Guabo Fire Department went to the site of the discovery, who together with the National Police proceeded with the recovery of the body and subsequent transfer to the Machala Forensic Center at around 7:00 p.m. on Monday, January 27.
