Shagufta was shot dead by unidentified assailants riding a motorcycle. Several other trans people riding in the same vehicle survived the attack.
NOWSHERA: One transgender person was killed, while the others miraculously survived in a firing incident in the Nizampur area of Nowshera.
Reports said four unidentified persons riding two motorcycles opened fire on a vehicle carrying transgender persons returning from a musical event.
The firing left one transgender person dead. [They were] identified as Shagufta.
The assailants fled the scene after committing the crime.
The body of the deceased was shifted to Qazi Hussain Ahmad Medical Complex for postmortem. A case was registered against the unidentified attackers, and the investigation was launched
