Quona was found dead in a hotel room.

Quona R. Clark, 18, who was quoted under the pseudonym Karal in a Tribune article on gay and lesbian teenagers, was found dead Tuesday in [their] room at the Lake Hotel, 3434 N. Broadway. Police said the cause of death is undetermined pending a toxicology report. [Mx.] Clark was a member of the youth group at Horizons Community Services Inc., a social service agency for gay men and lesbians.

The youth group will hold a memorial service for [Mx.] Clark at 8 p.m. Wednesday at Horizons, 961 W. Montana St.
