Police are asking the public for help in providing information on a [trans person] murdered in [their] Pawaa apartment and robbed of several unique and valuable pieces of jewelry last weekend.

Two gold bracelets studded with diamonds, a pair of diamond studded gold rings and a gold rope chain with a green jade female Buddha pendant belonging to Dinh Van Vo, 51, are missing, police said.

Vo, also known as Angelo Vo, was found beaten and strangled Monday. Vo was last heard from Saturday when [they] called a friend at 8:30 p.m., police said.

Vo, an unemployed hair stylist, moved to Honolulu from California a year ago. Police said [they] often wore women's clothing and is believed to have frequented Honolulu gay bars and clubs.
