Merlinka was beaten and strangled to death on 22nd March. Her body was found a month later.
She was known as the first out trans woman in Serbia, had written a book, Terezas’ Son, and had been in two Serbian films.
Two men, one of whom was a minor, were arrested in connection with the case.
