Angie's body was found naked with her hands tied. She had been strangled with an electrical cord and had multiple puncture wounds on her body.

Her partner is suspected of being responsible.

An employee of the cafeteria El fogón de Minga, a business adjacent to Angie's residence, was shocked by her murder whom she remembers as "good sociable, kind and cheerful".

"When they told me, I could not believe it. I used to hear them arguing sometimes, but from there to being killed is something else, "said Jaqueline Brito, who saw the victim last Friday when she went to buy two soft drinks from her business.

Another of the neighbors, Dulce Padilla, said that Angie was an excellent person and that she liked to walk through the streets of the town.

"I also saw her for the last time on Friday as at 5:00 in the afternoon. She was talking from the sidewalk through the window of a car with a man, "he said, but did not remember the model or color of the car. Neither could give a description of the suspect.
